AAIS lines
Ten AAIS rating products, on the filed methodology
AAIS on SelectRate is a current rating capability, not a planned integration. Ten products rate today, from the Commercial Output Program to the inland marine floaters. You do not build the rater. Every organization starts from a governed Standard Program and configures the values its carrier has authorized on top of the filing.
AAIS products on one platform
Each product runs on its own filed AAIS methodology inside SelectRate, and each has its own page. Your program controls the part the filing leaves to the company, and nothing else.
The last column is rating availability. The scope column on each product page says which transactions that product rates today.

The filing stays the filing. Your program sits on top.
The AAIS base is read-only: filed loss costs, tables, eligibility rules and rating steps. Your program is its own effective-dated version on top of it, and every number on the worksheet shows which layer it came from.
Filed base
What AAIS filed. You can read it. You never change it.
Company and program values
The multipliers, minimums and positions your carrier has authorized.
Risk and result
The inputs for this risk, and every calculated step.
Priced inside the filing
Where AAIS files a range, your carrier chooses where in it to rate, and the result never leaves the filed bounds. Where the filing leaves a value to the company, your program supplies it. Anything still referred comes back as a referral with its reason, never as a guess.
Tested before anything changes
Every change is a new effective-dated version, tested against real risks in Program Studio before it is submitted for release.
Quote, bind and service AAIS policies
Underwriters rate AAIS quotes in Underwriter Workbench, one result per carrier program, with the worksheet behind each. Bound AAIS policies sit in the same policy search as ISO policies. Rating scope differs by product: the Commercial Output Program rates through the term, including renewal, endorsement, cancellation, reinstatement and rewrite, while Equipment Dealers and Accounts Receivable rate new business and renewal. Each product page states its own scope.
Policy documents on the same model
Policy documents follow the same model, through SelectDocs. Document programs are released per line, so ask where the products you write stand today. The bureau document foundation is maintained for you: forms, editions, applicability and document requirements.
Your program configures only its own differences, once: carrier forms, form elections, program values, data mapping and question wording. No carrier rebuilds the bureau package.
Forms, editions, rules and package order.
Carrier forms, elections, values and wording.
One complete policy document package.
AAIS over the Rating API
The same Rating API serves AAIS programs to your own portal and your partners, from quote through every policy transaction.
Common questions
Which AAIS products are available?
Ten: Commercial Output Program, Builders Risk, Contractors Equipment, Installation Floater, Equipment Dealers, Motor Truck Cargo, Fine Arts Floater, Miscellaneous Floaters, Warehouse Legal Liability and Accounts Receivable. Each has its own page with the detail for that line.
Do we have to configure a program before we can see anything?
No. Every organization has a Standard Program for each product: a governed program on the published AAIS foundation that you can inspect, test and rate sample transactions against before you configure anything of your own.
Can we change AAIS filed values?
No. The filed base is read-only. You configure the company and program values your carrier has authorized on top of it.
Which states are available?
State availability varies by product and changes as programs are configured. Ask us for the current list for the products you write.
Can AAIS and ISO programs run in the same account?
Yes. One Program Studio, one Underwriter Workbench, one Rating API and one policy search.
Is SelectRate an AAIS product?
No. SelectRate is built and operated by Selectsys Tech LLC. AAIS is a trademark of American Association of Insurance Services, Inc. SelectRate is not affiliated with or endorsed by AAIS.
